The star nut is suitable for all common suspension forks and rigid forks with 1 1/8" or tapered steerer tubes (e.g., Fox, RockShox, Manitou). It serves to securely fasten the ahead cap in the steerer tube and is an essential component when replacing or shortening the fork.
