This compact device has two differently filtered outputs, providing unparalleled quality and stability of power. The DPS-2 casing and front panel are based on devices from the ADI-2 series, while inside it houses an innovative RME circuit that occupies half a rack width.
Two Outputs - Maximum FlexibilityLinear Output: A traditional DC output equipped with multi-stage passive and active filtering, including a 30,000 μF capacitor bank, a ferrite choke, and an active output filter with a hybrid voltage regulator.μFilter Output: Utilizes RME's μFilter technology. The signal from the pre-filtered Linear output undergoes additional filtration with high-efficiency active filters, achieving exceptionally clean DC output with only a few microvolts of noise. This output is also equipped with sensors that measure and adjust the output voltage directly at the DC connector of the included power cable, ensuring clean output voltage of +12.0 V at a 2.5 A load, fully protecting against any load-dependent voltage drops.
Noise-Free OperationThe DPS-2 employs a two-stage HF filter and a DC filter on the AC socket side, ensuring optimal operation without generating disturbing noises. A 60 VA toroidal audio transformer with additional insulation and magnetic shielding guarantees noise-free performance in any situation. The ground (GND) switch can be used to disconnect the DC ground from the PE protective conductor, eliminating hum or buzz noises.
LED Displays and AutoDarkThe DPS-2 is equipped with two LED displays on the front panel, allowing for quick monitoring of operating modes and problems (power, overheating, overload, low voltage, short circuit, active output). The front panel button enables the AutoDark mode, where the LED displays indicate only power-on and error conditions.
