Liberty Fabrics Liberty Fabrics Nouveau Ianthe Crepe de Chine | Yellow | Nouveau ianthe is a monochromatic, tonal version of liberty's famous art nouveau icon, ianthe. Originally created as a wallpaper design by french artist rene beauclair around 1902, it was reworked by liberty in 1967, and has since appeared in a variety of different products, layouts and colour variations. Crepe de chine is one of the best silk bases for daytime wear it's effortlessly luxe, with a lightweight drape that's made more durable by its matte, slightly rough surface. Try using crepe de chine to create a louche effect with wide-leg trousers and loosely tailored shirts, or with fluted sleeves and ruffled accents for a romantic feel.
