It forms a durable, breathable surface film that protects against blue stain, mould, fungi, water ingress, and harmful UV rays, while allowing the natural grain and character of the timber to show through. Practical coverage across a range of outdoor applications: Each litre covers 10-15 m², giving this 2.5 litre tin a working coverage of approximately 25-37.5 m² depending on the porosity and condition of the timber. Apply 2-3 coats by brush, dipping, or airless spraying. The stain is touch dry in 4-6 hours and recoatable after 16 hours at 23°C and 60% relative humidity. Suited to windows, doors, cladding, and decorative woodwork: Bondex Satin is particularly well suited to windows, doors, shutters, eaves, cladding, garden furniture, and decorative outdoor woodwork. Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C or above 80% relative humidity. The maximum acceptable moisture content of the substrate is 15% for softwood and 12% for hardwood.
