IWC Schaffhausen watches from the Portofino collection, first launched in 1984, are inspired by an original Lepine pocket watch design and embody a sense of simplicity and elegance. This IWC Portofino Automatic Moon Phase watch comprises a stainless steel case bearing a 40mm width and a silver-plated dial. At the 12 o’clock location, and combined with the famous IWC lettering, is a moon phase indicator decorated in luxurious deep blue and golden tones. Golden Feuille-shaped hands parade the surface of the dial, propelled by an in-house developed calibre from the 35000 series. The self-winding 35800 is capable of producing 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a useful 42-hour power reserve. Its individual hand-assembled 171 components are put on show through an exhibition caseback crafted from sapphire crystal glass. A dark brown alligator strap with a traditional steel buckle engraved with the IWC lettering completes a classic look to this timepiece, matched by the stainless steel material used for the case. This men’s 40mm IWC Portofino watch is also equipped with 30-meter water resistance and features a tasteful blend of stick indexes and Roman numerals around its hour track.
