It guards against blue stain, mould, fungi, UV rays, and water ingress, while forming a breathable surface film that resists cracking and peeling. Two to three coats applied by brush, by dipping, or by airless sprayer will deliver a durable satin finish that also makes surfaces easier to keep clean. Where to Use It: This product is well suited to windows, doors, shutters, eaves, cladding, garden furniture, and decorative woodwork. Apply only when temperatures are between 5°C and the relative humidity is below 80%, and ensure the wood moisture content does not exceed 15% for softwood or 12% for hardwood. Do not apply in direct rain or frost. Preparation and Application: Remove all dirt, algae, mould, and loose material before applying. Bare softwood outdoors should be primed with Bondex Preserve before the first coat of Satin is applied. Touch dry in 4 to 6 hours; recoatable after 16 hours at 23°C. Coverage is 10 to 15 m² per litre, so a 750ml tin will cover approximately 7.5 to 11 m² depending on the porosity and condition of the wood.
