It is suitable for both interior and exterior bare wood surfaces, including window frames, doors, fascias, and other woodwork subject to the elements. Straightforward preparation and application: Apply directly to bare wood that is dry, clean, smooth, and free from dust, grease, wax, and other contaminants. Treat any knots with Rustins Knotting beforehand. The first coat may be thinned with 10% white spirit if required. One or two coats are typically sufficient before applying an undercoat and topcoat of your choice - it is compatible with all types of t. Practical drying times and coverage: Touch dry in 2-3 hours and recoatable after 12-16 hours at an ideal application temperature of 15-25°C. Each litre covers approximately 15 m², giving this 250 ml tin an effective coverage of around 3.75 m². Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity. Clean-up and storage: Clean brushes and equipment with white spirit or Rustins Brush Cleaner while the product is still wet. For dried-on primer, use Rustins Brush Restorer. Store in a cool, dry place with the lid firmly sealed - shelf life in an airtight container is very long.
