Input Section – Flexibility and Precision The 32Classic MS features a high-quality microphone preamp with a Jensen transformer, ensuring clean and dynamic sound. It supports three input types: Microphone Input (XLR): Gain adjustment from 20 to 70 dB, -20 dB PAD switch, and +48V phantom power for condenser microphones.
Line Input (XLR): Adjustable gain of +/- 6 dB and activation as the source signal.
HiZ Instrument Input (¼” jack): Ideal for high-impedance instruments.
The input section also includes a polarity switch and an insert point, enabling the connection of external devices such as effect processors before the EQ section.
Legendary Sound Processing The parametric EQ of the 32Classic MS is based on the iconic Harrison 32C console, featuring four bands with proportional Q: LO: 40 Hz – 600 Hz, switchable to bell mode.
MID 1: 200 Hz – 3.1 kHz for precise midrange adjustments.
MID 2: 400 Hz – 6 kHz for broad applications.
HI: 900 Hz – 13 kHz, selectable shelf or bell mode.
Additionally, the device includes high-pass and low-pass filters with ranges of 25 Hz – 3.15 kHz (HP) and 160 Hz – 20 kHz (LP), which can be independently activated. These EQ options allow for subtle adjustments or drastic tonal changes.
Mixing Section and Routing The 32Classic MS allows routing signals to an internal stereo mix bus with panning and level control. Thanks to the Bus Link and Sum Link connectors, multiple units can be linked to create an analog multi-channel mixer. Each unit provides XLR outputs for the mix bus and adjustable outputs with FADER sliders and a 0 dB lock switch for precise level control.
