Marc de Gewurztraminer is one of Alsace's most popular " eaux-de-vie ". The marcs are what remains in the press. They are recovered and put in fermentation. Then distilled traditionally. This marc is very fruity and sweet. The marc of Gewurztraminer is the only eau-de-vie of Alsace to benefit from a controlled appellation.
