The Red Mahogany shade adds warm tone while allowing the character of the timber to show through. It is suitable for softwood and hardwood alike, both indoors and outdoors. UV-protective and water repellent formulation: The solvent-based formula guards the wood surface against UV rays, moisture, blue stain, and mould, preventing the flaking, peeling, and cracking associated with unprotected exterior timber. The treated surface resists dirt pick-up and is straightforward to clean. Apply 2-3 coats for best protection on high-exposure elements such as windows, doors, shutters, eaves, garden furniture, and cladding. Practical application guidance: Bondex Satin Woodstain Protection can be applied by brush, dipping, or airless spraying and is touch dry within 4-6 hours at normal conditions. Allow 16 hours at 23°C before recoating. Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C or when relative humidity exceeds 80%. Bare softwood intended for outdoor use should be primed with Bondex Preserve before applying this stain. Maximum acceptable moisture content is 15% for softwood and 12% for hardwood.
