Snap incredible shots of scales, colours and creatures with the Reptile and Amphibian Photography Experience at The Reptile Academy. Over six hands-on hours, you’ll capture stunning close-up shots of snakes, geckos, dragons, monitors, amphibians and more - guided by expert Reptile Rangers in a welfare-first, educational setting. This is more than just taking photos - you’ll learn animal behaviour, safe handling, and composition secrets as you photograph up to 100 fascinating animals in naturalistic and walk-in setups, both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). Equipment is available, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Each image tells a story, and this is where your portfolio gets wilder, and your knowledge deeper. The Reptile Academy is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to reptile and amphibian education, conservation awareness and animal welfare. Many of the animals living at this centre are rescued, surrendered or rehomed reptiles that are now permanent residents. By taking part in an experience at The Reptile Academy, you are helping support the ongoing care of these animals, including specialist husbandry, veterinary care and enrichment, while enabling the continuation of educational work with schools, young people and the wider community.
