Domaine Fernand & Laurent Pillot Volnay 2023

75cl / 14% - The Pillot family have been growing grapes in Chassagne-Montrachet since the 19th century, with Laurent and his son Adrien the 5th and 6th generations to make wine on their land. The nose on this wine is all about soft florals and ripe fruit. Wild strawberry, raspberry wine gums, freshly made jam and some cranberries come through and are supported by tightly woven tannins and a long lingering finish. Try this with pheasant or hard cheeses.
