Jamaican 1998 / 27 Year Old / Signature Barrel Series / Rum Trail

70cl / 52.4% / Elixir Distillers - This Jamaican rum was distilled at the very south of the island in 1998 on a retort pot still and has been entirely matured in refill bourbon barrels. Moderately funky, with caramelised banana, grilled pineapple, spices, granola and fresh tropical fruit notes. Still surprisingly bright, even after nearly three decades maturation, but there’s also a depth to it that can only come from time.
