Description

PreSonus StudioLive SE 32R – 40-Channel Digital Rack Mixer The PreSonus StudioLive SE 32R is a professional digital rack mixer designed for live sound, in-ear monitoring systems, stage installations, and multitrack recording. It provides 40 mixing channels and 32 onboard XMAX-R recallable microphone preamps. Extensive routing options, 16 FlexMixes, four dedicated subgroups, four FX mixes, and 24 DCA groups provide the flexibility required for complex productions. It also features a continuously bidirectional 64x64 USB audio interface, onboard stereo SD recording, and Milan-certified AVB audio networking. This makes it a powerful solution for engineers who need a high channel count, flexible configuration, recording capabilities, and convenient remote control.

Product Features 40-channel digital rack mixer. 32 onboard XMAX-R recallable microphone preamps. 16 FlexMixes configurable as aux, subgroup, or matrix mixes. 4 dedicated subgroups and 4 FX mixes with stereo returns. 24 DCA groups for precise control over multiple channels. Continuously bidirectional 64x64 USB 2.0 audio interface. Onboard stereo SD recording. Capture integration with Virtual Soundcheck. Milan-certified AVB audio networking. Per-channel source selection: Analog, USB, SD, or AVB. Remote mixing and control with Universal Control. Personal monitor mixing with QMix-UC. Standalone, monitor mixer, and stagebox operating modes.

A Flexible Center for Mixing, Routing, and Recording One of the system's greatest strengths is its ability to adapt to the requirements of a specific event or audio setup. The 16 FlexMix buses can be configured as aux mixes, subgroups, or matrices. In practice, this allows you to create independent monitor mixes, sends, separate sound zones, and sophisticated routing configurations without relying on additional mixing hardware. Four dedicated subgroups and 24 DCA groups make managing large numbers of channels even more convenient.

The 32 XMAX-R microphone preamps offer a gain control range from 0 to 60 dB. Their settings are recallable, which is particularly useful for recurring concerts, touring productions, and workflows based on saved configurations. +48 V phantom power allows the mixer to work with condenser microphones and other active devices requiring phantom power.

The mixer can also serve as a comprehensive multichannel audio interface. Continuous bidirectional 64x64 USB connectivity allows numerous audio channels to be transferred between the mixing system and a computer. Capture integration provides Virtual Soundcheck functionality, allowing previously recorded material to be used for preparing and refining a mix without requiring the entire band to be present. For quick recordings, the onboard SD recorder can capture the stereo mix directly to compatible media.

Another important part of the system is its Milan-certified AVB networking. It enables larger configurations incorporating compatible NSB stageboxes, EarMix 16M Personal Monitor Mixers, and other StudioLive Series III mixers. Per-channel selection between Analog, USB, SD, and AVB sources further increases the flexibility of the complete system.

Product Applications This digital rack mixer is suitable for concerts, band rehearsals, corporate events, theater productions, clubs, event venues, and professional monitoring systems. It can operate as a standalone mixer, dedicated monitor mixer, or stagebox. Universal Control enables engineers to remotely control the system from a compatible device, while QMix-UC gives performers control over their own monitor mixes. The combination of live mixing, networked audio, and multichannel USB connectivity also makes it a practical choice for systems that combine live sound reinforcement with multitrack recording.
