Grassroots Tetsuya Signature 5-String Active Electric Bass Guitar Original - Refurbished

This is a Grassroots Tetsuya Signature 5 string electric bass. Made in China this bass features an Ash body with Quilted Maple top, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include open-gear tuning machines and top-loading bridge. A single-coil and humbucker is fitted and wired to active controls for boost-cut 3 band EQ, Master volume, Blend and 3-way bridge tone switch. The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with what might be described as a ‘U' shaped profile that is substantial enough to sustain a firm grip whilst remaining slim enough for articulate lines. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface across the register. The large cutaways and generous body contours ensure uninhibited fret access whilst improving comfort on long gigs and practice sessions. Amplified, the Tetsuya signature delivers an absolutely stunning fundamental bass tone right away. The lows are thick and rumbling, with warm driving mids and a beautiful sparkling top end that captures all the snap and attack of your playing. The on-board active preamp does a fantastic job of sculpting your tone, with comprehensive controls that ensure you are always able to dial in your perfect sound. Light to mild indentations are present to the top edge of he headstock, the most prominent of these have pierced the finish. A light indentation is present to the front face towards the top edge, this has not broken through the finish. Light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock, these can be seen under direct light. Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only e see under direct light and can be slightly felt in the playing position, the most apparent of these can be seen behind the nut and towards the center rear of the neck. Light indentations are present to the fingerboard, these can be seen from the 18th fret upwards and can not be felt in the playing position. Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light scratching and indentations, all of these can only be seen at close scrutiny and under direct light. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. Discoloration is present to the pick guard. Light ear markings are present to the pickup covers, this is consistent with past use. All aspects of the metal hardware display light signs of past use.
