Product Features The 3.5-inch color touchscreen provides comfortable control over every recording parameter. Sampling rates up to 192kHz and 32-bit float resolution guarantee uncompromising audio quality. Two detachable large-diaphragm condenser microphones (14.6mm) can be configured in A-B or X-Y patterns. The built-in USB audio interface offers 8 inputs and 2 outputs, while four combo XLR/TRS inputs allow for connecting external microphones and line-level sources. The device supports multi-track recording up to 8 tracks, recording in WAV (BWF) and MP3 formats, and supports micro SD cards up to 512GB. Phantom power of 24V/48V is available individually for each input. Professional Capabilities for Your Creativity The PORTACAPTURE X8 was created with users in mind who need a versatile audio recording tool. The intuitive start screen presents ready-made configurations tailored to various recording scenarios—from podcasts to multi-track music sessions. The pre-recording buffer function allows you to capture moments preceding the press of the record button, while dual recording simultaneously saves two files with different gain settings, minimizing the risk of clipping or overly quiet recordings. The device offers an advanced mixer with high-pass filter, compressor, limiter, automatic gain control, and noise gate, allowing for precise real-time sound shaping. The built-in MS decoder enables Mid-Side signal recording, and the reverb effect with six room presets adds spatial depth to recordings. The XRI function embeds metadata directly into the file, significantly simplifying material organization during post-production. Automatic recording start and automatic markers allow you to focus on recording without wasting time on manual file management. Thanks to the built-in USB audio interface with 8 inputs and 2 outputs, the PORTACAPTURE X8 can serve as a professional interface for your computer. The device is compatible with popular audio recording and editing software, allowing direct input of multiple tracks into computer sessions. Wireless remote control from a smartphone or tablet further enhances workflow convenience, especially during field recordings when the device is placed in hard-to-reach locations. Support for micro SD cards up to 512GB ensures you never run out of space for recordings, even during long sessions. The 3.5mm stereo camera/line input allows connection of a camera or phone, facilitating audio synchronization with video footage.
