It was published in the earthly paradise which morris regarded as one of his most important literary works and the kelmscott press edition (1896-97) was conceived as a masterpiece of book design, bringing together typography, illustration and ornament in a single work of art. This original morris design has been translated, for the first time, into a repeating print featuring floral silhouettes and gently swaying leaves, rendered in an array of bold, rich colours. Our tana lawn cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in our own liberty printing mill in northern italy, tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy.
