Chapman ML-2 Satin Natural 2013 Electric Guitar Satin Natural - Refurbished

This is a Chapman ML-2 electric guitar in Satin Natural. Made in Korea in 2013 this guitar features a contoured Mahogany body, Maple neck and 24 fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include TonePros TOM style bridge and Grover tuning machines. A pair of aftermarket Bare Knuckle ‘The Mule’ humbucking pickups have been fitted and are wired independent volume controls as well as a master tone control and 3-way pickup selector switch. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a 'D' shape that fills the hand nicely for a substantial grip without being at all cumbersome. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the sculpted neck heel and cutaway ensure unrestricted access to the upper register. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 13.75" radius offers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up to the 24th fret. The pair of Bare Knuckle humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to rock and metal genres. The neck pickup is round and warm, and has plenty of power to push your solos right to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter and hotter, and offers a searing drive sound that is perfect for dirty rock rhythm parts. The simple controls feel responsive to small adjustments, meaning that you can dial in your perfect tone for each section of the song. A small indentation is apparent to the side face, near the D string winding post. Very light indentation is apparent to the top edge of the front face. Both the bass and treble side cutaway demonstrate dark discolouration to the finish, most likely from a headstock stand. Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light and close scrutiny. These cannot be felt beneath the strings and in no way effect the feel or playability. The treble side of the neck demonstrates dark discolouration of the finish at the neck join that could not be removed during our cleaning process. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light indentations and wear to the finish. Most notably small indentations to the front face edge of the cutaway, the trevle side waist sides, rear face edge of the shoulder and near where the forearm rests. Wear to the finish is apparent to the centre of the rear face and lower bout edges. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.
