Description
Peavey Rage 158 15W Guitar Combo Amplifier with TransTube Technology The Peavey Rage 158 is an exceptionally compact yet powerful guitar combo amplifier, designed for musicians seeking authentic tone in an accessible format. Thanks to innovative TransTube technology, the manufacturer has combined the durability and reliability of transistors with the warmth and dynamics characteristic of tube amplifiers. This solution allows for a wide palette of sounds, ranging from crystal-clear and organic tones to aggressive, saturated overdrives essential in modern rock and metal music. Product Features Key features of this equipment include a 2-speaker configuration with a single 8-inch Blue Marvel speaker, which provides full, resonant bass and clear high frequencies. The amplifier features two switchable channels: Clean and Lead, allowing for quick tone changes depending on your needs. Precise sound shaping is handled by a 3-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble), complemented by a Modern/Vintage mode switch. Additionally, the device is equipped with a practical Tape/CD input and a headphone output, making it an ideal companion for home practice. Professional Capabilities in a Compact Enclosure TransTube technology is the heart of this amplifier. Thanks to it, despite its low 15 W RMS power output, the Peavey Rage 158 offers characteristic signal compression that increases with volume, giving the impression of a large tube combo amplifier. This is crucial for guitarists who value natural finger-style response and instrument dynamics. The Modern/Vintage mode switch adds further flexibility: the Vintage mode offers more treble and "twang," ideal for blues, jazz, or country music, while the Modern mode provides a cleaner, more neutral tone that works excellently for open chord playing and as a base for distortion effects. The Blue Marvel speaker, known for its high-quality construction, guarantees durability and faithful sound reproduction, which is rare in this price and size class. Applications Home Practice: Compact dimensions (26 cm x 45 cm x 21 cm) and the headphone output allow for practice at any time of day or night without disturbing neighbors. Demo Recording: The Tape/CD input allows connection to a music player, which is useful for following tracks or recording guitar parts. Small Performances: Despite its small size, the amplifier is loud enough for use in small clubs, band rehearsals, or as a monitor amplifier.
