Description
HeadRush FRFR-8 CAB - Active FRFR Speaker for Digital Guitar Rigs The HeadRush FRFR-8 CAB is an advanced, active Full-Range Flat-Response (FRFR) speaker designed specifically for guitarists and bassists using modern modeling processors. With 480 W of power and a maximum sound pressure level of 125 dB, this compact unit faithfully reproduces every detail of your tone—without the coloration and distortion introduced by traditional guitar amplifiers. Product Features The HeadRush FRFR-8 CAB offers a range of features that every demanding musician will appreciate. At the heart of the device is an 8-inch low-frequency driver specifically designed for guitar and bass, supported by a 1-inch compression high-frequency driver with a 90° conical horn. The system delivers 480 W of peak power and reaches a maximum sound pressure level of 125 dB, easily filling even larger rooms with sound. The built-in 3-band Baxandall equalizer and adjustable high-pass filter allow you to tailor the sound to the room's acoustics, while Bluetooth 5.3 enables wireless playback of music from your phone or tablet during practice sessions. Sound Power in a Compact Form Although the HeadRush FRFR-8 CAB resembles a classic vintage guitar amplifier, it houses modern technology that revolutionizes how modeled tones are presented. Traditional guitar speakers often color the sound, causing precisely programmed tones from processors like the HeadRush Pedalboard, MX5, or other modeling devices to sound unpredictable on different stages. The FRFR speaker eliminates this problem—thanks to its flat frequency response, every detail of your tone is reproduced faithfully and cleanly, exactly as you programmed it. The closed wooden enclosure features a classic look with tweed fabric and black tolex, paying homage to the golden era of guitar amplifiers, but offers much more than just aesthetics. The built-in kickstand ensures the optimal tilt angle during performances, while the compact dimensions (14.3" x 14.1" x 8.5") and lightweight design of just 24.25 lbs (approx. 11 kg) make it easy to carry to rehearsals, gigs, or the studio. This design makes the unit perfect for both small club stages and home use. The system allows connecting two FRFR-8 CAB speakers in stereo mode to achieve a true, wide soundstage, which is particularly important for guitarists using stereo effects, modulation, or delays. The XLR output also enables direct connection to a mixing console or PA system, making this speaker an incredibly versatile tool for both live performances and studio recording.
