On a cold December evening, amidst the bustling activity of Christmas shoppers enjoying a Salvation Army carol concert, a sudden gunshot shatters the festive atmosphere. One of the performers collapses, lifeless, sparking a challenging investigation. Detective Harry Hole and his team are summoned to unravel the mystery but are faced with a daunting task—there's no obvious suspect, missing weaponry, and an unclear motive.
