Upon returning from an extended stay in Africa, Richard Hannay unwittingly becomes entangled in an audacious scheme aimed at igniting a pan-European conflict. The discovery of a dead body in his apartment forces Hannay to go on the run, pursued by both the conspirators behind the plot and law enforcement, sparking an intense manhunt.
