Opis
The collection of studies presented in this volume represents a selection of my work focused on historical and political culture, as well as historical political science. With the sole exception of "The Christianization of Lithuania," these papers were developed over several decades after 1987, marking the beginning of my tenure as a full-time faculty member at the Institute, now the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. My association with the university began much earlier, in 1957, when I embarked on my historical studies at the then Faculty of Philosophy and History. Over the years, I have advanced through the academic ranks, embarking on a fascinating scholarly journey through the centuries from the late Middle Ages to modern times. My research primarily centers around myths and facts, exploring the historical culture within society and its role in political education. This focus has facilitated my engagement in political science research and led to the formation of a team dedicated to studying political culture on an international level.
