Within the secluded courtyards and age-old edifices of the Inner Temple, a central hub of London’s legal sphere, murder had long been an event confined to the pages of legal tomes—until this moment. The police require permission to access the Temple, which positions Gabriel Ward, a man who holds law and order in the highest regard, as a fitting investigator for this alarming breach.
