In the Kingdom of Oru, L'ore is unique in her absence of agbára, the skill of drawing power from the sun, a secret she hides from everyone, even her closest confidant, Alawani. The situation becomes dire when the gods designate Alawani as an Alufáa, subjecting him to a perilous trial that could end his life. Determined to save her friend, L'ore takes an unexpected risk to access agbára. Instead, she inadvertently unleashes an icy magic from her hands, a force tied to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond Oru's boundaries.
