Opis
A spacecraft embarks on a mission to locate its lost sister ship and comes across life forms that have evolved from self-replicating machines. "The Invincible" by Stanisław Lem, in the spirit of science fiction legends like H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, narrates the adventure of a space cruiser dispatched to a remote planet to uncover the fate of another vessel that suddenly lost all communication with Earth. Upon touching down on Regis III, the crew, led by navigator Rohan, encounters a unique life form believed to have originated from autonomous machines, possibly remnants from a historic "robot war." The team is faced with the timeless dilemma of how humanity should proceed when it encounters the boundaries of its comprehension. Lem masterfully presents his characters with the enigmatic and the extraordinary, posing challenges just beyond the realm of logical understanding.
