Opis
Reacher is not one to shy away from challenges. He soon encounters a significant one along a remote road in Arizona, where a Jeep has collided with the single tree in its vicinity. Beneath the harsh rays of the desert sun, appearances are deceiving. Shortly thereafter, Reacher finds himself heading toward a nearby border town, whose glory days are long past. Accompanying him is Michaela Fenton, a former army soldier now with the FBI, on a mission to locate her twin brother. Her brother might be entangled with a dangerous crowd, prompting Reacher to contemplate a visit. The town is under the heavy influence of this group's enigmatic leader, Dendoncker. Simply meeting him will require Reacher to pull off the near-impossible, while obtaining information will prove even more daunting. In this desolate and resistant place, some would rather take their secrets to the grave than divulge them. However, having Reacher on your trail could make death seem like the better option.
